Épitope: AA 320-494

Specificité: Anti-RFX5 (aa 320 to 494) may react with unknown minor bands at 65 kDa and 80 kDa. Human and mouse RFX5 from a variety of fibroblast and B-cell lysates. Recognition is of the region between amino acids 320 to 494. Western blot of RFX5 shows a 75 kDa band. A minor band at 68 kDa may be detected which may represent an RFX5 breakdown product or unmodified RFX5.

Purification: Prepared from monospecific antiserum by delipidation, salt fractionation and ion exchange chromatography.

Immunogène: RFX5 peptide corresponding to a region at amino acids 320 to 494 of the human protein conjugated to Keyhole Limpet Hemocyanin (KLH).

Indications d'application: Suitable for for Immunoprecipitation, Immunoblotting, ELISA and supershift assays. Recommended Dilutions: This product was assayed byimmunoblot and found to be reactive against RFX5 (aa 320 to494) from a variety of fibroblast and B-cell lysates at a dilution of 1: 1,000 followed byreaction with Peroxidase conjugated Affinity Purified anti-Rabbit IgG [H&L] (Goat). Anti-RFX5 (aa 320 to 494) detects a 75 kDa band by immunoblot for human RFX5. This product was also tested in a gel supershift assay and found to be reactive againstRFX5 complexes using 0.5 to 1.0 l per assay.
Other applications not tested.
Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

Patients with this disease exhibit a characteristic defect in the binding of a nuclear factor, RFX, to the X box motif of MHC class II promoters. RFX5 is the 75 kDa subunit of the RFX complex which is absolutely essential and highly specific for regulating MHC class II gene expression and control of the immune response.
